My current project is the research of Windows vulnerabilities through unpatched versions and third-party software, eg VMWorkstation. I will be simulating these attacks to train the intrusion detection system we are creating.
Over the summer I created a parser for Free BSD's audit log and converted the data into a new type of audit log used by my lab's own OS. I then improved the current Linux parser by adding a data structure that reduced the original code's complexity.
