About
Scott has more than 11 years working for the Department of Defense as both a government civilian and as a government contractor. He has been involved in many areas pertaining to the security of DoD and DoJ acquisition programs beginning in the Washington, DC and now in Charleston, SC. Scott has experience in everything from helping manage security operations at test sites for various assets to establishing policies and procedures relative to the overall security posture of an organization. Scott is currently supporting the Navy's efforts in information assurance conducting risk assessments and managing certification and accreditation efforts for various Navy customers throughout the fleet. Previously in his career, he has been a facility security officer and COMSEC Custodian for a defense contractor managing security efforts across the whole organization for many different government customers and contracts. Scott got started in support of the Navy in Washington, DC by first assisting in program security of new Navy technology and then moving up to take over the program security efforts independently supervising security support personnel that were on-site and ensuring the technology was afforded the appropriate security posture based upon DoD and Navy policy and other various guidance from other sources.
