Team lead for Security Control Assessment and Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) staff assistance visit teams. Responsible for planning on-site assessment visits to DoD facilities around the world; gathered site's configuration and other crucial information, determined assessments required, selected team members, and organized team travel.
During assessments, coordinated with site personnel and directed activities of up to 12 assessment team members to ensure a thorough and complete assessment. Assessments performed included Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) assessment, and multiple different Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance evaluations.
As a Security Control Assessor Representative (SCA-R), validated security control compliance in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application for managed programs and created authorization recommendations on behalf of the Authorizing Official, combining data from eMASS packages, assessment visits, ACAS scans, HBSS data, and STIG results.

I am beginning my third decade in the IT field, beginning as a communications/computer technician with the United States Air Force, and culminating with my current position as the Chief Information Security Officer for an Army research facility.
My extensive background has given me experience in a wide variety of IT disciplines including: system administration, networking, customer support, and information assurance/cybersecurity.
I also have a solid management background, with experience managing teams of up to twenty individuals; ensuring the team meets goals, objectives, quality targets, and deadlines.
