About
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious. - Albert Einstein
I'm Stephany and I am passionately curious.
Ever since I was a little kid, I had a passion for finding solutions to my problems. I grew up with an Entrepreneur mindset and a jack of all trades mentality. When I couldn't get a job because I was too young...I figured out how to fix broken Xbox consoles and flip them for a profit. When my parents couldn't afford to pay for my college...I figured out how to open an e-commerce store paying college in cash, debt-free. When my only laptop crashed and I had never backed up my hard drive...I figured out how to mount my hard drive using Kali Linux and salvaged all my work.
I thrive on the adrenaline rush. The rush I receive after challenging myself to find solutions to what seems to be an unfortunate event when in reality it was an opportunity to learn. I was faced with a challenging choice. To become an entrepreneur or choose a stagnant career with monotonous tasks. I feared the thought of having to choose a career with no challenges, growth opportunities, and no flexibility.
I did not choose IT as a career it choose me. I was offered a full-ride scholarship. I earned my IT certifications, was paired with a mentor and earned an internship with a Cyber Security company all with the same curiosity that drove me as a kid.
I figured out that I could use my entrepreneur jack of all trades mentality and combine it with an Information Security career. I could use my hunger for knowledge to succeed in an ever-changing always evolving industry filled with problems to solve. I no longer was faced with that daunting decision of having to choose, I followed my passion for finding solutions.
So, now, in this industry, this passion remains with me.
