When a $900,000 security system replacement to maintain PCI compliance for one of the Illinois facilities was no longer feasible due corporate decision to close the facility within 18 months, identified upgrades necessary for current system to achieve compliance and covered the cost with the $220,000 deposit that had already been paid to the vendor with a $50,000 surplus at the conclusion of the project
Closed a significant budgetary gap by identifying $100,000 in cost savings in a new facility security system installation project by initiating a review of vendor’s proposal and finding that one PCI CCTV requirement that had been updated was not reflected in the vendor’s scope of work

Security Director
Managed a staff of 8 contract security officers, covering 168 hours per week, at OpSec Security Inc. in Robbinsville, NJ, where we monitored and control access to OpSec's 133,000 sq. ft. facility. I reported directly to OpSec's Global Director of Security and assisted him in maintaining compliance with established corporate, customer, government, and security industry standards, as well as in the drafting and editing of corporate security and safety policies and procedures for OpSec sites in the U.S. and U.K. My responsibilities also included the coordination of maintenance and repair for OpSec-Robbinsville's security access control and video systems.
The site was acquired in fall 2012 from JDS Uniphase. Prior to that acquisition, my staff and I were responsible for monitoring and controlling access to several JDSU sites in the United States and Europe in addition to local security at JDSU's Robbinsville facility. I dealt directly with JDSU's Corporate Regional Security Manager and assisted as noted above. I also coordinated security equipment maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation for several domestic and international JDSU facilities.
Prior to my assignment at JDSU/OpSec, I was the U.S. Security Site Manager at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals' three-building, 330,000+ sq.ft. U.S. headquarters in Princeton, NJ where I supervised a staff of up to 14 officers covering 248 hours per week. My staff and I managed and monitored access for approximately 1200 employees and contractors, processed approximately 1,000 to 2,000 visitors per month with excellent feedback, as well responded to medical emergency calls throughout the facility, also with high remarks.
