I lead multiple engineering workforces as well as cross-functional teams to develop both the product and the infrastructure, including client-facing features, internal technologies, and numerous third-party integrations that have greatly expanded our capabilities and value offering.
Under my leadership, we architected a strategy to manage the content and business logic for 75 courses across 6 product lines. I also orchestrated the launch and rollout for dynamic cloud provisioning, which enabled the on-demand spinning up of AWS and Azure cyber ranges according to the selected course.
Using APIs and custom integration strategies, I automated licensing for several forensics programs, product shipment-tracking for the UK and Europe, and a cloud management system that’s significantly minimized utilization costs of third-party cross-flatform vulnerability monitoring and research. I also personally won approval from VMware to directly distribute VMware Installers to students.
As we grow the business, I’ve laid out a technology roadmap for launching offices abroad to allow for product delivery in multiple currencies. I also developed a plan to automate the course evaluation process, predicted to reduce costs significantly.
As a Technical Leader driving change across the product suite, I work with everyone in the enterprise, from Engineering, Instructional Design, and Infrastructure to Legal, Finance, Sales, and Executive Leadership.

OpenFiber had the ambitious goal of laying down a brand-new, open-access, fiber optic (FTTH) data network from scratch. I took the lead in developing and managing our cloud-based network management infrastructure in AWS.
I sat at the helm of a small team of engineers and analysts. We constructed the mapping, provisioning, and monitoring systems necessary to support the venture. Concurrent with this, I cultivated trusted business alliances with ISPs and OTT providers such as Sling/DirecTV and Ooma as value-added service offerings. I also administered several system integrations to increase the power and reporting of our Salesforce CRM.
In 2020, OpenFiber restructured into Open5G, where I continued to drive improvements to the same systems (customer mapping, provisioning, and monitoring) while scaling operations to meet wired and wireless broadband needs within large municipal markets.

Travelport is the engine behind the most prominent online travel agencies (OTAs) out there. I coordinated with technical teams across Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and API Support to develop and maintain back-end systems, web services, and connectivity for Travelport’s RESTful APIs. Here, I enjoyed mapping out data flows connecting customer portals, databases, and booking systems.
Over time, we optimized the APIs by gathering customer feedback from the developer community to deliver world-class product features, tutorials, and reference docs. As part of this immersion with engineers, I led our team through several industry hackathons and developer conferences.
Ever committed to keeping my team on the cutting edge, I supported a pivot from SOAP to REST/JSON and from Agile to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Technical Product Manager, Infrastructure & Integrations
After getting snagged at a conference by the CEO, I laid out a product roadmap and product marketing strategy for the JMT processor black box solution which generated MS Visual Studio libraries from XML schemas. In addition, I assisted with product marketing and messaging by crafting press releases, blog posts, and articles.
Through my negotiations, JMT became an early partner in the IATA Tnooz THack competition in Hamburg.

Jet Messaging Technologies AG
Developer Evangelist and Business Development
The GELI CEO invited me to build and promote a smart-battery storage application framework to automate and monitor energy distribution across a micro-grid.
I worked on both technical and creative endeavors, conducting market research, generating a growth strategy, designing a prototype, including firmware and integration layers. We entered our nascent product in a cleantech competition, where it placed in the Top 5 and inspired a crucial company pivot from a hardware identity to a software model.
GELI was eventually acquired by Hanwha Q CELLS.

About
➤ Technology Product & Infrastructure Executive with 10 years of recent experience driving cloud and on-prem enterprise products for small-to-mid-sized organizations, backed by more than a decade of systems engineering leadership, including rolling out Internet connectivity for Microsoft and AT&T/Bellsouth.
LEADERSHIP FROM EVERY ANGLE
I operate seamlessly between technical teams and business stakeholders, between strategic planning and day-to-day operations, and, if the role calls for it, between colleagues and customers. I enjoy working on growth ventures and change initiatives while ensuring legacy product lines are deployed and running smoothly. I’ve trained and led developers and engineers in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, and Australia.
WINNING BUY-IN, BUILDING ALLIANCES
It’s not enough to know how your technology works, you have to convince others of its greatness. My colleagues have commented time and time again on my ability to tailor a message to the audience at hand. I am a champion of my work and my teams, proud to evangelize the solutions we’re building inside and outside the organization. I love demystifying complex topics and getting people excited about the tools and technologies that can change their lives.
PRODUCTIVITY, MULTIPLIED
I’ve been called a “productivity multiplier.” I always look for better ways of doing things (e.g., more efficient, more cost-effective, more automated). This goes for teamwork, too. I commit to strengthening interdepartmental communication and collaboration, which lends to an enhanced customer experience. Colleagues have nicknamed me “The Cat Herder” in reference to my ability to rally and connect with a diverse range of stakeholders.
STILL CODING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS
While I’m mostly assembling and directing engineering teams, I still jump in to review or write code from time to time, both in terms of working on the product and designing internal systems and tools.
