Took on hardware, software, and server support for the printing environment. Included dismantling any model of printers from HP to Datamax Wristband printers to replace components from a printhead all the way down to a solenoid under the main board. Managed print driver versions, firmware, and collaborated with the Profile Management team on mappings to end users. Evaluated other printing solutions such as location based printing and secure prescription printing. Multifunction devices became the standard introducing scanning to file shares, Faxing, and a more complex configuration at the peripheral. System Center Endpoint Protection was built into SCCM and I managed the SCEP portion dealing with light-weight incident response as there was no official CyberSecurity team at this time.
Transitioned away from printers to Virtual Desktops.
Supported the servers running Horizon, zero clients, performance of the template VMs, integration with apps such as OneSign for badge tapping authentication, remote printer redirection, and a lot of customized scripting in Windows.

About
I'm a CyberSecurity Engineer for the local hospital in my region. I started out opening boxes, crawled through the clouded dust of printer toner, untangled myself from endpoints with poor wire management, and found myself in the hot seat of managing virtual servers. That was too hot, so now I attempt to secure them.
