• Conduct vulnerability assessments and generic security scans of both systems and networks to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Conduct subsequent analysis of scan results to assign an overall risk levels to systems
• Review and analyze vulnerabilities that have been identified as being required for functionality; Advise on necessity and security implications of leaving these vulnerabilities in place
• Review and critique system security plans, network diagrams, and other security documentation as part of vulnerability assessment engagements
• Provide technical guidance and hardening recommendations for systems currently in the engineering phase
• Produce threat assessments and other reports as dictated by customer needs
• Develop scripts to simplify data collection and other laborious tasks that are necessary to occur throughout the scanning, vulnerability assessment, and system administration process
• Remain on the cutting edge of the latest security tools and enterprise technology- testing out new vulnerability assessment, network discovery, penetration, and any other tools that could provide a better end product
• Stay current with the latest vendor and DoD/US-CYBERCOM issued threats/product vulnerabilities and mitigations to proactively identify any risk to Gnostech's customers
• Provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users and automated tools
• Provide ongoing maintenance of workstations, servers, and network devices including patch management, hardware and software maintenance, monitoring of load balancing, and updating of standard operating procedures as necessary
