System Administrator for our client in
Lancaster, PA.

Position Overview:
- Hands-on Systems Administrator to support and maintain a predominantly on-premises infrastructure environment with a strong focus on Fortinet networking and security technologies.
- This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, stability, and support of core systems, virtualization, networking, and a large number of local and legacy line-of-business applications.
- Comfortable working in a traditional infrastructure environment, understands enterprise networking and firewalls, and can manage systems reliably and end-to-end, rather than focusing primarily on cloud-based services.
Pay Rate: $39.00-$40.00/Hour.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Fortinet firewalls, FortiSwitches, and wireless infrastructure
- Support and maintain wireless networks, including UniFi access points
- Administer and troubleshoot switching infrastructure, including TP-Link switches
- Manage and support Microsoft on-prem environments, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and related services
- Administer and maintain on-prem RDS (Remote Desktop Services) environments
- Support a wide range of local and legacy applications, ensuring stability, uptime, and performance
- Build, manage, and monitor virtualization environments, primarily Hyper-V
- Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Perform day-to-day infrastructure troubleshooting across servers, storage, networking, and virtualization layers
- Collaborate with internal teams on system upgrades, improvements, documentation, and operational best practices
- Assist and provide backup support to the Power BI team as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure-focused role
- Strong hands-on experience with on-prem infrastructure (non cloud-centric)
- Solid understanding of virtualization, particularly Hyper-V
- Experience building, managing, and monitoring backup solutions
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft-based environments
- Experience supporting network infrastructure; Fortinet experience preferred (firewalls, switches, wireless)
- Power BI experience preferred, or willingness to learn (approximately 20% of the role)
- Proven ability to support and maintain legacy systems and applications
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
