A high-profile, global multi-strategy hedge fund are looking to make a New York based ‘Chief of Staff’ hire – the role is being hired at the most senior level, with global coverage.
As the fund continue to expand and diversify, the firm have been hiring business managers / business unit COO / chief of staff types across global offices – the new hire will sit above them in a Global Chief of Staff position, working closely with investment heads / Portfolio Managers, being their first point of contact (and the main point of contact for existing business managers / COO’s), providing a much better, fluid process, and for the firm to now have a central figure sat in a global role.
The hire will be the main sounding board (for PM’s and business leaders) for business buildouts / strategy, the lead for implementing strategic objectives (business buildouts / launches, technology advancements etc.), the point of escalation for issues / challenges faced on global investment strategies, and more generally the hire will look to deliver better collaboration & visibility between global investment strategies (including how PM teams interact with the firm’s support functions). This is a highly visible and autonomous role at the most senior level within the firm, at an exciting growth point for the business – the hire will likely also have strong exposure and influence with regards to growth plans for new strategies, fund launches and international offices.
Candidates could be existing COO’s, global business managers, or ex-traders / PM’s that have since moved into business roles now looking for a step up at the most senior level. Candidates much be very well established on the buy-side. Multi-asset backgrounds would be particularly useful.
