Job Description
We’re looking for a System Administrator to join a fast-growing IT services team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and brings a strong customer service mindset. You’ll provide both onsite and remote IT support, handling everything from workstation updates to server troubleshooting, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for end users.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be expected to independently resolve issues such as:
- Workstation operating system problems (Windows and Mac).
- Printer troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Common business applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.).
- Line-of-business software (e.g., ERP, accounting, or other niche applications with vendor support).
- Server administration and troubleshooting (Windows Server 2016–2025).
- Basic and intermediate networking issues (switches, firewalls, connectivity).
- Acting as an escalation point for junior technicians.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of IT support or system administration experience.
- Proficient with Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Skilled in supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, endpoint cybersecurity, backup tools, and mobile device management.
- Familiar with firewalls, switches, and general network architecture.
- MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience preferred.
- Active server certifications a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for client visits.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Utilization: Percentage of work hours billed to client tickets.
- Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Ratings provided by end users on resolved tickets.
- Quality Score: Internal assessments from training and quality teams.
- First-Touch Resolution: Percentage of tickets resolved on the first attempt.
