Job Description:
We are seeking a Control Center LAN Administrator to provide hands-on technical and administrative support for the Client’s Distribution Control Center. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of endpoint systems and network infrastructure supporting critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and workstation systems
- Perform system updates, patching, upgrades, and OS-level troubleshooting
- Monitor and support LAN/network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP configuration (manual and automated)
- Provide onsite and remote end-user support
- Manage ServiceNow ticket queues and escalations through resolution
- Support datacenter operations (UPS, cooling, alarms, vendor coordination)
- Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and DR testing
- Monitor system logs and support security controls and audits
- Maintain system documentation, asset tracking, and reporting
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and upgrades
- Support hardware decommissioning and business moves/changes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years IT experience OR
- Associate degree / technical certification + 4 years IT experience
- Strong experience with desktop/workstation imaging and administration
- PowerShell proficiency (required)
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and networking
Preferred Skills
- Experience in control center or mission-critical environments
- Strong documentation, communication, and customer support skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work off-hours, weekends, and emergencies
- Must be able to travel within service territory as needed
