Metis Technology Solutions is currently seeking a Systems Administrator. This employee shall provide personnel, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, training, and technical expertise necessary to develop, host, maintain, and support a secure SharePoint (SP) site supporting both government and non-government personnel. The SharePoint site will support documentation of Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) explosives safety standards and requirements and will be administered by 45 SW/SEW.
Key Responsibilities
- SharePoint Site Administration
- Design, host, operate, and maintain a secure SharePoint site with restricted access.
- Ensure the site supports access by both government and non-government personnel using CAC, PIN, or password authentication.
- Configure the site to allow uploading and downloading of large documents and presentations.
- Structure the site to protect program proprietary information through appropriate permissions and access controls.
- Ensure the site is available for Government inspections as required.
- Host the SharePoint site as necessary to meet operational and security requirements.
- Training and User Support
- Provide training to all personnel granted access to the SharePoint site.
- Deliver ongoing support and guidance to ensure proper use and compliance with site policies.
- Information Technology Compliance
- Ensure all computers accessing Government infrastructure comply with approved protocols and software licensing in accordance with Information Technology Commodity Council (ITCC) Policy Memorandum 04-01, Mandatory Desktop/Laptop Strategy.
- Use Government-approved requirements processes to request new network access or changes to existing access, hardware, software, LAN, data, voice, or video configurations.
- IT Asset Management
- Comply with AFMAN 17-1203, Information Technology (IT) Asset Management (ITAM).
- Designate and train a Contractor Equipment Custodian (CEC) within 30 days of appointment.
- Conduct annual inventories of Government Furnished Information Technology Equipment (ITE), beginning in the first calendar month of each year or as otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO).
- Track, transfer, and maintain Government ITE using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Notify the 45 SW Equipment Control Officer (ECO) of Automatic Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) maintenance actions, disposition instructions, or replacement requirements.
- Recommend equipment for lifecycle replacement to the Government on a quarterly basis.
- Cybersecurity and Incident Reporting
- Monitor network activity and report any observed suspicious network protocol or traffic behavior to the Government for further investigation.
- Initiate IT security incident response actions within one hour of detection, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Systems Engineering and IT Oversight
- Oversee the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of information technology systems.
- Manage network domains, server and desktop operating systems, server and desktop applications, communication protocols, and related IT system requirements.
- Ensure integration and interoperability of IT systems in compliance with DoD and Air Force standards.
- Support secure operation of systems within DoD network environments.
Requirements
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Certifications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent certification for non-Microsoft operating systems is required.
- Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting DoD network security requirements.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Microsoft networking and domain control environments.
- Experience with the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems.
- Familiarity with relational database systems.
- Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of network domains, operating systems, enterprise applications, and IT protocols.
- Understanding of DoD and Air Force IT security, asset management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to support secure, multi-user environments with both government and non-government personnel.
