Position: System Administrator | W2-CONTRACT ROLE
Location: Staunton, VA 24401
Work Type: Onsite only (Local candidates highly preferred)
Experience Required: 3–5+ years
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1–3 system and end-user support
- Respond to break/fix requests for end-user and server resources
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux (RedHat) and Windows servers
- Configure and deploy desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory, and change logs
- Manage Active Directory user accounts and permissions
- Perform daily backups, recovery operations, and archival processes
- Apply OS patches, upgrades, and security updates
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Support cybersecurity initiatives including threat monitoring and mitigation
- Support GIS or Asset Management system infrastructure as required
