This work supports the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) NextGen Integration and Evaluation Capability (NIEC) laboratory at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Pomona, NJ.Additional Responsibilities Include:-
Responsible for troubleshooting server problems as reported by users-
Researches, evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products-
Maintains a secure systems environment-
Installs new servers and maintains the server infrastructureApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust.Facility Location: WJHTC, Pomona, NJPosition RequirementsSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities-
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)-
Experience with RHEL system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting-
Experience with Ansible automation, including system administration, security, and compliance-
Experience with user access and authentication management using LDAP and FreeIPA-
Understanding of system security best practices-
Proven experience with shell scripting-
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills-
AWS Cloud Experience And/or Certification Is Preferred-
Kubernetes experience is preferredFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-TimeEducationBachelor's Degree in a related information technology field.
