This position is not fully remote - must reside in Central Oregon.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Mosaic’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring reliability, security, availability, and performance of servers, networks, applications, and related systems. The Systems Administrator follows established change control practices, supports day-to-day operations, assists with upgrades and deployments, and collaborates with internal teams to maintain a stable and secure technology environment.
Systems Administration & Operations
- Administer, monitor, and maintain server, network, storage, and virtualization environments.
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, updates, and upgrades.
- Assist with backup, disaster recovery, security, and availability strategies.
- Configure, install, and maintain server hardware and operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain enterprise antivirus and patch management systems.
- Provide operational support for datacenter and application systems.
Security Operations Support
- Maintain system and network security through patching, EDR administration, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of IT security policies, standards, and procedures
- Support Security Risk Analysis (SRA) and compliance activities
- Monitor systems and alerts for security-related issues and support incident response and recovery.
Management & Documentation
- Follow established change control, outage, communication, risk and other associated procedures.
- Coordinate system updates and maintenance activities.
- Maintain system documentation, run books, and procedures.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Work with IT team, staff, and Mosaic leadership to support implementation of specific strategic initiatives.
- Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.
- Escalate systemic or high-impact issues appropriately.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Assist with security and privacy training programs.
- Develop and maintain training and technical documentation.
- Provide guidance to IT support staff.
Work Experience
- Three years of system administrative experience required preferably in medical office setting.
Education, Certification, Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent and some college coursework.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science related field preferred.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience administering Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and Horizon & familiarity with hyperconverged and clustered datacenter environments.
- Knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with Cisco networking H/W and IOS and familiarity with SD-WAN and telephony systems.
- Experience with BCDR solutions, recovery testing, and data protection best practices. Knowledge of storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and iSCSI.
- Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience with endpoint management, operating system patching, and vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, patching, logging and monitoring tools, MFA and EDR solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a production environment.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning and staying current with evolving technologies.
