Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OKTA Developer to support a federal client’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiatives. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of working independently in a secure, onsite federal environment. Candidates must be local to the DC area and hold an active Top Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced engineering analysis, development, and design work requiring strong technical expertise and independent judgment.
- Provide identity and access management (IAM) and security architecture guidance through PowerPoint briefings, white papers, and written communications.
- Administer and support the CDM and ZTA tool stack, with a strong focus on Okta, along with tools such as SailPoint, Tenable Nessus, HCL BigFix, Axonius, and Cloudflare.
- Conduct technical working sessions with internal teams and federal bureaus to integrate IAM and Zero Trust capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical guidance, standards, and policy documentation supporting CDM/ZTA programs.
- Support integration of Okta with enterprise applications, directories, and authentication mechanisms.
- Provide technical input and mentoring to junior staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Must be local to the Washington, DC area and able to work onsite.
- Strong hands-on experience with Okta development and administration.
- Experience supporting Zero Trust Architecture and CDM initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a complex federal environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SailPoint or other IGA tools.
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies.
- Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
