What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure spanning multiple sites — including servers, networks, gateways, and cloud services.
- Manage and optimize Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Lead DevOps initiatives — focusing on code deployment control, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability, including patching, compliance monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with business growth.
- Drive modernization through cloud integration (Azure/AWS), scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform), and proactive performance monitoring.
- Document configurations, processes, and policies for consistency and clarity.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT staff.
- Travel occasionally (up to 15%) for on-site support at other company locations.
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of progressive experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
- Strong knowledge of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices..
- Expertise in virtualization, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, OpenTofu).
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- 1+ year of DevOps experience — particularly in code deployment and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to balance independent work with cross-functional collaboration.
- Flexibility to support critical system events after hours when needed.
Bonus Points For
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
- Experience with CloudWatch, GitHub Actions, EC2, S3, or database management.
- Background in manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial technology environments.
- Exposure to IoT systems or industrial control networks.
- Experience configuring enterprise LLM solutions with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.).
