We’re seeking an experienced senior privacy attorney for a healthcare technology company in Washington, DC. This individual will advise on complex privacy and data protection matters across a wide range of business initiatives. This role will support a growing consumer healthcare platform and play an integral part in ensuring our products comply with evolving privacy, data protection, and healthcare regulations. This position operates on a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary legal advisor on privacy matters for teams working in healthcare technology, digital advertising, marketing, media, and publishing.
- Guide the development and expansion of our consumer healthcare solutions to align with global, federal, and state privacy and data protection requirements.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into new features and updates.
- Deliver company-wide training on privacy practices, compliance obligations, and emerging regulatory trends.
- Monitor changes in privacy and data protection laws, evaluating their implications for existing and upcoming products and services.
- Support incident response activities, including investigations and compliance assessments.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- At least 5 years of combined legal and privacy-focused experience.
- Deep understanding of U.S. and global privacy frameworks
- Proven ability to advise diverse business groups on privacy implications and compliance strategies.
- Experience in the healthcare or technology industries is preferred but not required
- Experience delivering organization-wide privacy training and applying privacy-by-design methodologies
