The
System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of the company intranets and computer systems. Duties include assigning and maintaining user access, installing and maintaining software, responding to employee concerns relating to IT, troubleshooting IT issues, and writing policy documents and training materials for employees. Manages servers, network equipment, and other related IT infrastructure. This position will have direct access to confidential information that should not be disclosed directly or indirectly to others for any other purpose than to perform the essential duties of this position.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains essential IT infrastructure including the company-wide Azure ecosystem, MS365 applications, servers, and network devices
- Manages the production VMWare VSphere environment while providing end-user support and deployment of different hypervisors, i.e. VMware, Hyper-V, Virtual Box, for testing and development scenarios
- Assists in architecture and design of IT infrastructure, including contributions across all layers
- Responsible for overarching network security, tools and monitoring
- Manages backup environments including disaster recovery and business continuity objectives.
- Manages user, systems and network security controls
- Performs regular audits to ensure compliance and security
- Responsible for tier two support, assisting with all levels of support as needed
- Performs log analysis to determine root cause issues and resolution
- Availability for occasional off-hours work as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience managing Azure ecosystem, MS 365 platform including Exchange, Teams and Power Apps
- 3-5 years of experience with VMware vSphere
- 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Server technologies including Active Directory, Exchange on-prem, Group policies, DNS, and DHCP
- 3-5 years of experience with Meraki/Cisco Firewall, Switches Access points preferred
- Experience with Dell Power Edge experience including SAN technologies preferred
- Working knowledge of Synology, Adaxes, Linux, Barracuda, SQL preferred

- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to listen to users in a courteous and friendly manner, acknowledge the reality of their problems, translate their descriptions into technical terms, fix the problems, and explain the solutions in terms the users can understand
