Job Objective:
To develop, install, monitor, assess, maintain, and troubleshoot various network applications and related software and hardware to meet information technology needs, including storage of criminal history information, financial data, network and Internet access, Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, and the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone system; to coordinate the design of network applications with application vendors.
Essential Functions
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and Teams.
- Oversee M365 user account provisioning, licensing, and permissions.
- Monitor M365 system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable access.
- Collaborate with IT security team to implement and maintain security policies within M365.
- Provide end-user support and training for M365 tools.
- Develop, install, monitor, and troubleshoot network applications and hardware to meet IT needs, including VoIP systems.
- Configure and maintain IP addressing and security access for authorized personnel in compliance with security standards.
- Develop, install, and maintain servers (DNS, DHCP, ERP, DC) and ensure patches and updates are completed.
- Maintain SSL certificates and coordinate system upgrades with vendors.
- Develop and maintain server and firewall security to control system access.
- Coordinate with Network Data Center Administrator for hardware installation and maintenance.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement configuration changes to improve efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance for network hardware/software purchases and compliance.
- Develop and maintain network addressing schemes and documentation.
- Prepare activity reports regarding network implementation and issue resolution.
- Consult with vendors and conduct research for problem-solving and purchase options.
- Install, update, and maintain systems and applications specific to various departments.
- Provide training on network workstations, hardware, and software.
- Serve as project leader for network maintenance projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in developing and implementing networked application systems.
- Three (3) years of experience in M365 administration in an enterprise IT environment.
- Two (2) years of experience in IP addressing and Windows OS administration.
- Two (2) years of experience installing and configuring routers.
- One (1) year of experience with VoIP systems.
- One (1) year of leadership experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of network system design, protocols, and management practices.
- Knowledge of IP addressing, Windows OS, VoIP systems, virtual machines, Active Directory, and identity management.
- Knowledge of M365 services and related technologies.
- Ability to configure and install VoIP systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot network and system failures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with security standards (CJIS, HIPAA, PCI).
- Strong documentation, training, and communication skills.
