Overview
Seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Administrator to manage and improve an enterprise developer tooling environment. This is a platform administration role(not a developer position) focused on stability, security, automation, and migration from legacy tools.
You will support engineering teams by ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed DevOps tooling across Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise.

- CI/CD (YAML pipelines, runners/agents, release automation)
- Azure & Entra ID (service connections, identity, Key Vault)
- Automation (PowerShell, CLI tools, REST APIs)
What You’ll Do
Platform Administration
- Manage Azure DevOps orgs, projects, repos, pipelines, and agents
- Configure GitHub Enterprise settings and security controls
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Standardize repository structure, branching strategies, and templates
- Ensure build agents and integrations run reliably
Security & Governance
- Manage permissions, service connections, and access controls
- Enforce branch protections, secrets management, and compliance standards
- Align DevOps tooling with security and regulatory requirements
- Implement secure DevOps practices and least-privilege access
Developer Support & Enablement
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for DevOps and GitHub issues
- Train teams on Git workflows, pipelines, and automation
- Create documentation, onboarding guides, and runbooks
- Support migration from legacy systems to Azure DevOps/GitHub
- Build reusable pipeline templates and automation scripts
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor platform health, pipeline performance, and agent usage
- Maintain audit logs and compliance documentation
- Produce dashboards and usage reports
- Manage lifecycle updates, licenses, and tooling improvements
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong Azure DevOps administration experience
- GitHub Enterprise configuration and governance
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, YAML, REST APIs)
- Experience with Azure cloud services and identity management
- Understanding of secure DevOps and CI/CD best practices
Experience:
- 5+ years in DevOps administration, cloud ops, or engineering support
- Hands-on enterprise experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-300)
- Experience in regulated industries
- Knowledge of GitHub Advanced Security and code scanning tools
- Familiarity with ITIL or change management processes
