We are seeking a skilled Telecom & Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our enterprise network and voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Cisco Call Manager, VoIP technologies, and Fortinet security solutions. This role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our network and telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco Meraki solutions
- Administer and support Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and VoIP systems
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
- Ensure network security, reliability, and optimal performance across all sites
- Manage SIP trunks, voice gateways, and VoIP endpoints
- Perform network capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for system integrations and escalations
- Maintain documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and procedures
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in network and telecom engineering
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Meraki (switching, wireless, security appliances)
- Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) administration
- VoIP technologies (SIP, RTP, QoS, voice gateways)
- Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate configuration and management)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, VPNs, and QoS
- Experience troubleshooting network and voice quality issues
- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Meraki CMNA/CMNO, Fortinet NSE)
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies
- Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments
- Knowledge of network security best practices
