Systems Administrator IV
Location: Wilmington, NC (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Salary: $110,000–$140,000
A highly secure and regulated engineering organisation is seeking a Systems Administrator IV to manage and maintain business-critical infrastructure in a high-security environment. The role focuses on ensuring availability, performance, and compliance across server, network, and virtualised systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, storage, and virtualisation platforms
- Implement and maintain security controls in line with regulatory standards
- Manage patching, monitoring, and system performance
- Support incident response, disaster recovery, and change control
- Maintain technical and compliance documentation
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
Requirements
- Strong experience supporting secure or regulated IT environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST)
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
- Relevant certifications or equivalent experience
- Degree or equivalent practical experience
