Network Administrator for a
Contract with a client in
New York, NY. Candidate must have deep expertise in Cisco wireless engineering with strong capability in RF design, Ekahau analysis, and enterprise‑grade WLAN architecture.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Network Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
- Design and optimize enterprise‑grade Cisco WLAN architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across sites.
- Conduct passive/active RF site surveys with Ekahau Pro, analyze spectrum data, and fine‑tune layouts to minimize interference and coverage gaps.
- Configure Cisco Catalyst/Aironet APs and 9800/5520/5508 WLCs, applying best practices for roaming, QoS, and voice‑over‑Wi‑Fi.
- Implement secure access policies using Cisco ISE (802.1X, RADIUS, guest) and enforce segmentation and posture where required.
- Troubleshoot complex Tier‑3 wireless issues using packet captures, spectrum analyzers, and DNA Center/Catalyst Center assurance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver timely reports, maintain standards, and drive continuous improvement in WLAN operations.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field as defined by the client.
- Candidate must have 10+ years of experience in wireless networking roles.
- Candidate must have strong expertise in Cisco wireless engineering with certifications such as CCNP Wireless or CCIE Wireless, along with deep knowledge of RF fundamentals and Ekahau tools.
- Candidate will have proven capability in designing and solutioning Cisco WLAN architectures, configuring WLCs/APs, and performing advanced RF surveys and troubleshooting.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $56.00 per hour
