Job Role: Sys. Admin
Job duration: 6 Month Contract to hire
Job location: Paramus, NJ
Core Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Management:
• Collaborate with IT leadership to continuously monitor, maintain, and test technology infrastructure, ensuring consistent uptime and performance.
• Drive end-to-end technical planning, design, and deployment of systems, including performance tuning and recovery procedures.
• Manage infrastructure projects including servers, virtual machines, network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and printers.
Security & Compliance:
• Execute vulnerability remediation efforts and apply firmware upgrades across network and endpoint environments.
• Monitor Office 365, Entra ID, and EDR platforms for potential security threats; investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement and uphold endpoint and network security controls aligned with organizational standards.
• Maintain configuration backups and perform regular monitoring of network infrastructure.
User & Desktop Support:
• Provide expert-level support for endpoint hardware and software, including both remote and on-site assistance.
• Deliver prompt, professional, and effective resolution of technical issues for end users.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, access requests, and password resets.
SharePoint Online & Microsoft 365:
• Function as the internal subject matter expert for SharePoint Online, supporting deployment, ongoing administration, and optimization.
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user management, licensing, and configuration.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Industry certifications preferred: Microsoft 365 Administration, Network+/CCNA or equivalent, Linux+/LPIC-1, Security+ or equivalent.
Technical Skills & Experience:
• Demonstrated expertise administering and supporting SharePoint Online environments.
• Hands-on proficiency with a broad range of hardware: desktops, laptops, servers, NAS/SAN, printers, switches, firewalls, access points, mobile
devices, DVRs, projectors, time clocks, and more.
• Experience with core IT applications including Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Active Directory/DNS/DHCP, VPN, remote management tools,
helpdesk platforms, endpoint protection, backup solutions, VOIP, WSUS/patch management, Dropbox, and Box.
• Working knowledge of operating systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Synology DSM, and Ubuntu Linux.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and disaster recovery/business continuity frameworks.
• Experience with NIST 800-53 controls, AWS, and SonicWall environments.
