The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius. Envisioned as a long-life, low-cost open-pit, heap-leach operation, Spring Valley has a robust resource base and considerable exploration upside along a 7-mile strike length across the Black Ridge fault zone.

Position Overview:
As the Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems and ensuring their smooth operation. You will be responsible for handling various technology-related tasks, providing technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our technology environment. Job Responsibilities:
User Support and Technical Assistance:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, ERP (Pronto & Sage) and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, either remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Assist in setting up and configuring computers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals for employees.
System Administration:
- Manage and maintain our servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
- Monitor system resource utilization, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to avoid disruptions.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning.
Network Management:
- Administer and maintain our local area network (LAN) and ensure network connectivity for all devices and users.
- Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to implement network security measures and prevent unauthorized access.
Software and Hardware Management:
- Install, upgrade, and configure software applications, ensuring they are properly licensed and updated.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
IT Security and Compliance:
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices, and actively participate in security awareness programs.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct training sessions to empower employees with essential IT skills and best practices.

- Other duties as required including some travel to mine site near Lovelock Nevada
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an IT Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or a similar role (4 years of experience).
- Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network administration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A passion for technology and a proactive attitude towards staying updated with the latest IT trends and developments.
- Continuous Improvement mindset required.
- Mining/Construction experience helpful.
