Job Summary
The Systems and Network Administrator supports the daily operations, maintenance, and security of Versova’s IT systems and network infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role focuses on ensuring reliable system performance, assisting with upgrades and implementations, and providing technical support to users and IT initiatives. The position is hands-on and contributes directly to maintaining network uptime, data integrity, and system efficiency across the organization.
Essential Job Functions
- Administer and maintain servers, network devices, and related systems
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and software
- Monitor network and system performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Support data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Assist in implementing system patches, upgrades, and new hardware
- Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures
- Provide user support for technical issues and escalate as needed
- Assist with network and systems monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with IT team members on projects and technology rollouts
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards and company policies
- Participate in disaster recovery testing and response activities
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in systems and network administration
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or MCSA)
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in manufacturing or agricultural environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems or business application integration
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to company locations for on-site system support. The position involves a mix of hands-on maintenance, user support, and participation in IT projects. The Systems and Network Administrator must be comfortable working in both office and server room environments and may occasionally be required to respond to technical issues outside of normal business hours.
