Akkodis is seeking a
System Administrator for a
Contract with a client in
Tampa, FL / Jersey City, NJ. Candidate must have strong capability in administering and automating Kafka clusters across on‑prem and cloud environments.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
- Manages Kafka clusters across on‑prem and cloud environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Automates deployments, configurations, and upgrades using Ansible, Terraform, GitOps, and Python scripts.
- Oversees monitoring activities with Prometheus, Grafana, and Confluent Control Center to track broker health and consumer lag.
- Implements security protocols including SASL/SSL, RBAC, and ACLs to maintain secure data flow and cluster compliance.
- Configures and maintains Kafka Connectors and Schema Registry to support reliable data integration.
- Handles disaster recovery setups, including Active‑Passive configurations and multi‑region replication using ClusterLink.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of experience in Kafka administration and automation-focused infrastructure roles.
- Having strong capability in automating Kafka deployments using Ansible, Terraform, GitOps, and scripting tools.
- Candidate will possess proven expertise in managing Kafka clusters, including performance tuning, security configuration, and connector administration.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
