Role Summary
We are seeking a network and infrastructure architect to own deployment, reliability, and scale of our distributed cryptographic and networking infrastructure.
This person will turn architecture into repeatable, production-grade deployments across enterprise environments. The focus is operational discipline, uptime, integration reliability, automation, and deployment velocity.
This is not a research or strategy role. This is a hands-on role.
- Key Responsibilities1. Deployment & Operational Scale
- Own end-to-end infrastructure deployments (on-prem, hybrid, cloud, air-gapped)
- Standardize installation, integration, and configuration workflows
- Build repeatable deployment playbooks and runbooks
- Reduce implementation timelines and operational friction
2. Use Case Development & Productionization
- Work with leadership to define priority enterprise use cases (e.g., secure site-to-site connectivity, quantum-safe VPN, secure data center interconnect)
- Translate use cases into reference architectures and deployment templates
- Validate performance, reliability, and operational readiness
- Turn pilot deployments into standardized production offerings
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the operational bridge between:
- Engineering
- Hardware teams
- Product
- Field sales
- Customer IT and security teams
Ensure requirements are clearly translated into deployable solutions
Coordinate issue resolution across teams during deployments
4. Infrastructure & Network Operations
- Manage distributed node environments and control-plane reliability
- Oversee routing, VPN, segmentation, and secure transport integrations
- Implement high-availability and failover configurations
- Troubleshoot enterprise integration challenges
5. Automation, Monitoring & Reliability
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code standards
- Build automated provisioning and configuration workflows
- Define uptime metrics and SLAs
- Establish monitoring, logging, and incident response processes
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years in infrastructure, networking, or platform operations
Strong background in setting up and configuring:
- Routing, switching, VPNs, segmentation
- High-availability environments
- Hybrid and multi-cloud deployments
- Experience running production systems with uptime accountability
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
- Experience integrating security infrastructure (PKI, HSM, identity systems)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
