Dux is an agentic exposure management platform built for a world where vulnerability exploitation windows are collapsing from weeks to minutes.
Use our AI agents to continuously determine what’s actually exploitable in your environment, identify the fastest path to protection, and eliminate exposure before it’s used against you.
We bring exploitability, context, and action together - so you achieve safety at machine speed.
We've grown rapidly across engineering, research, product, and go-to-market, and our customer base is expanding just as fast. As we scale our commercial engine to match, now it's the time for our founding BDR!
Role Description
We're hiring a founding BDR who lives at the intersection of hustle and intellectual curiosity. You'll be on the front lines of our go-to-market motion - identifying opportunities, opening doors, and creating pipeline that matters. This isn't a role for someone waiting to be told what to do. It's for someone who knows LinkedIn better than anyone else, and sends a cold email before most people have had their coffee.
You'll work directly with the executive team. Your ramp-up will be fast, your feedback loop faster, and your impact visible from day one.
What You'll Do
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation through outbound prospecting (events, email, LinkedIn, phone, creative outreach)
- Research target accounts and personas in the cybersecurity and IT space - you know the buyers, you understand their pain
- Craft messaging that cuts through the noise and lands with CISOs, security engineers, and Vulnerability Management leaders
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and pass high-quality opportunities to the sales team
- Iterate relentlessly - test messaging, learn from every "no," and improve with every conversation
- Represent Dux at virtual and in-person industry events, webinars, and conferences
- Feed insights back to marketing and product - you're not just filling pipeline, you're building the playbook
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of BDR experience in cybersecurity
- Genuine familiarity with the cybersecurity landscape - you understand what exposure management or vulnerability management means without needing a glossary
- A bias toward action - you don't wait for the perfect sequence, you go and you learn
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; you write like a human, not a template
- Comfort with ambiguity - we're a startup, the playbook is being written as you read this
- Hunger. Curiosity. Competitiveness. The desire to be great at this, not just good.
- AI is your best friend.
Bonus Points
- You've worked at a startup before and know what "wearing multiple hats" actually means
