Our product lifecycle—from initial concept and R&D to global manufacturing and retail—requires a perfectly tuned digital ecosystem. We are looking for an Atlassian expert to own this ecosystem, ensuring that our teams spend less time managing tools and more time building the future of flash memory and storage solutions.
The Mission
You will be the primary architect of our Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery). Your goal is to create a seamless "Discovery-to-Delivery" pipeline. You’ll ensure that product managers can validate ideas in JPD, engineers can execute complex hardware/firmware workflows in Jira, and stakeholders can find every technical spec in Confluence.
Key Responsibilities
Atlassian Platform Administration & Governance
- Architect & Configure: Design and maintain Jira Software, JPD, and Confluence Cloud/Data Center instances tailored to consumer hardware product lines.
- System Integrity: Manage user provisioning, global permissions, and security groups while conducting regular audits to prune technical debt.
- Ecosystem Integration: Integrate the Atlassian suite with external engineering tools, PLM systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., GitHub, CAD management, or specialized compliance tools).
Hardware, Design & Asset Workflow Orchestration
- Multidisciplinary Lifecycle Mapping: Map physical product development processes into digital workflows, including Phase-Gate approvals, Industrial Design (ID) prototyping, and Firmware/Electrical Engineering workstreams.
- Marketing & Packaging Pipelines: Architect Jira processes for the Marketing and Creative teams to track packaging artwork, legal/regulatory labeling, and go-to-market (GTM) digital assets. You will ensure these "tangible" assets are linked to the hardware specs they represent.
- NPI Frameworks: Create templates and project blueprints for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives to ensure consistency across different storage categories.
- Hardware Tracking: Configure custom fields and linking strategies to track hardware-specific attributes such as SKUs, Bill of Materials (BOM) references, and regulatory certifications.
Product Discovery & Roadmap Leadership
- JPD Implementation: Partner with Product Management to configure Jira Product Discovery for opportunity assessment, data-driven prioritization, and insight gathering.
- Visibility & Reporting: Build sophisticated dashboards that provide real-time visibility into product milestones, release readiness, and cross-functional dependencies between ID, Engineering, and Marketing.
Knowledge Ecosystem & Training
- Confluence Architecture: Design Space hierarchies that serve as the "Single Source of Truth" for PRDs, technical specs, and compliance records.
- Enablement: Develop training materials and conduct workshops for a 200+ user base, championing best practices for agile methodologies and documentation
Technical Requirements
- Jira Mastery: 7-8 years of hands-on administration (Cloud/Data Center). Expert knowledge of custom issue types, complex workflows, and Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps).
- JPD Specialist: Proven experience configuring Idea boards, views, and matrix layouts in Jira Product Discovery.
- Automation & Scripting: Deep proficiency in Jira Automation and JQL. Experience with ScriptRunner, REST APIs, or Python for custom automation is highly valued.
- Confluence Wizardry: Expertise in using advanced macros, blueprints, and content governance to manage high-volume technical documentation.
