Our client is hiring a Systems Administrator for a hybrid position based in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on supporting servers, networks, cloud services, and Fortigate / Fortinet firewalls, ensuring reliable and secure technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and maintain Fortigate / Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
- Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Support network infrastructure, including switches and wireless systems.
- Assist with Azure or AWS cloud services and hybrid integrations.
- Perform system monitoring, patching, updates, and backup/DR processes.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide Tier 2/3 technical support.
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in system upgrades, security hardening, and new technology rollouts.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Working knowledge of Fortigate / Fortinet firewall administration.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server environments and virtualization.
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) preferred.
- Solid troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite several days weekly in a hybrid schedule.
