Position Summary:
This company is seeking an experienced Coupa System Administrator to manage and optimize our Coupa Third Party platform, with a focus on reporting, analytics, and third-party risk management integration. This role will be responsible for system configuration, user administration, data integrity, advanced analytics, and ensuring seamless integration with our third-party risk management processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong analytical skills and an understanding of enterprise risk management principles.
Responsibilities:
Coup System Administration
- Administer and maintain the Coupa platform including user management, role assignments, security protocols, and system configurations
- Configure and manage Coupa Risk Assess module
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and implement new features in coordination with Coupa support and internal IT teams as applicable
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal platform functionality
- Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials
- Manage integration points between Coupa and other enterprise systems (ERP, financial systems, risk platforms)
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on system enhancements and customization requests
Reporting & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using Coupa's reporting tools and analytics capabilities
- Create custom analytics solutions to provide visibility into spend analytics, supplier performance, contract compliance, and align with procurement metrics
- Build and automate executive-level dashboards and KPI tracking
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, process improvements, and risk indicators
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to support strategic decision-making
- Train end-users on report generation and self-service analytics tools
Third-Party Risk Management
- Perform detailed analysis of vendor risk profiles across operational, cybersecurity, financial, compliance, and reputational risk categories.
- Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of vendor risk documentation and assessments.
- Challenge business justifications for accepting residual risks or risk appetite exceptions.
- Assess the adequacy of contractual risk mitigation terms and service level agreements.
- Review vendor financial stability assessments and concentration risk analyses.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with reporting and analytics in enterprise procurement or financial systems
- Experience with third-party risk management processes, supplier management, or vendor governance
- Proven track record of system implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration
Knowledge & Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Coupa platform architecture, modules, and functionality
- Advanced proficiency in Coupa reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics capabilities
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database queries and data manipulation
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Experience with API integrations and system interfaces
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coupa certification(s) in Administration, Reporting, or specific modules
- Experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000, NIST)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to third-party risk (OCC guidance, FFIEC, etc.)
- Experience with change management and system adoption strategies
- Certification in procurement (CPM, CPSM) or risk management (CRISC, CRMA)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, R) for advanced analytics
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
