Role: AI Enterprise Architect, Lead
Location: Mountlake Terrace, Seattle, WA (Hybrid), 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Overview
- We are seeking an experienced AI Enterprise Architect, Lead to drive enterprise-wide AI enablement and lead a small, high-performing pod focused on deploying AI capabilities across the organization. This individual will serve as both a hands-on technical leader and strategic architect, with the executive-level presence required to engage senior stakeholders and influence enterprise direction.
- You will lead a pod of three engineers, guiding the design, development, and integration of AI-driven applications and services into existing business and technical ecosystems.
- This role is technical and AI-focused, with emphasis on AI concepts, Python, and machine learning, along with the ability to partner directly with leadership to drive adoption at scale.

This role will require below knowledge and will have responsibilities respectively:
AI/ML Concepts:
- Be ready to discuss core AI/ML concepts and projects you’ve worked on.
- Be able to articulate how you applied these concepts in practical scenarios.
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) Concepts:
- Review the basics of RAG and how it works in AI systems.
- Understand its applications and be able to explain it simply.
Agentic AI Frameworks:
- Familiarize yourself with agentic AI frameworks and their purpose.
- Be ready to discuss any experience or theoretical understanding.
Platform-Building Knowledge:
- Understand the process of designing and building AI platforms.
- Be ready to explain your thought process in approaching platform-level problems.
Communication & Executive Presence:
- Practice articulating your work clearly and concisely
- Be prepared to explain decisions, trade-offs, and approaches in an executive-friendly manner
- Demonstrate the ability to lead conversations with Directors/VPs, align cross-functional teams, and influence outcomes
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong technical skills (Python, Java)
- Understanding of Azure AI Foundry / Azure AI ecosystem
- Strong platform engineering experience
- Understanding of AI frameworks and ecosystem
- Executive-level presence and the ability to work confidently with senior leadership, enterprise stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery for AI initiatives, overseeing a pod of three engineers to build and deploy AI-powered solutions
- Design and implement AI architectures that integrate seamlessly with enterprise platforms, data sources, and security frameworks
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into scalable, production-grade solutions
- Partner with executive stakeholders to drive enterprise AI strategy, roadmap alignment, and prioritization of AI initiatives
- Build and optimize MLOps and LLMOps pipelines, including model training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and velocity
- Partner with enterprise architecture and security teams to ensure all solutions meet compliance, governance, and data privacy standards
- Contribute to AI strategy, tooling selection, and platform evolution to support enterprise-wide enablement
- Serve as a senior technical advisor, capable of presenting architecture options, risk trade-offs, and solution direction to leadership audiences
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript).
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML solution architecture or AI engineering leadership.
- Proven experience leading small engineering teams or pods.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, GenAI, NLP, and integration with enterprise systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and MLOps frameworks.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security compliance in regulated industries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated executive/leadership-level presence, including experience presenting AI/architecture solutions to senior stakeholders (Director/VP/C-suite) and driving alignment across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying AI solutions in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience integrating with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of data pipelines, API development, and prompt engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Experience influencing enterprise AI roadmaps, technology decisions, or platform strategy in partnership with executive leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $160,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation includes medical, vision, and dental benefits.
