Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL – Onsite, 5 days/week
Duration: 6-12 Month Contract (Possibility to Extend/Convert)
Pay: $55 - $60/hr
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3–5 years of IT experience in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration
- AWS Cloud Administration experience
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Experience with Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu), including patching and administration
Plusses:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with GCP
- Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, org configuration)
Job Description:
The Systems Administrator will support a clients Office of Information Technology by managing and optimizing cloud services, server environments, and enterprise infrastructure. This role handles medium-to-high complexity projects and provides daily operational support across on‑prem and multi‑cloud systems. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled, proactive technical contributor who can troubleshoot diverse environments, support infrastructure growth, and ensure security, availability, and performance across variable platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and administer servers across multiple environments
- Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot and escalate system and application issues as needed
- Evaluate and implement network performance improvements
- Establish firewalls, network policies, and system connections
- Provide systems analysis, performance tuning, and remediation
- Support and guide developers and IT staff
- Recommend and assist with building complex application hosting solutions
- Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS, Azure, and other cloud services
- Drive improvements for efficiency, performance, and cost
- Participate in documentation and automation of administrative tasks
Compensation:
$55/hr to $60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
