Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Trial Tech. The Trial Tech will be responsible for coordinating technology needs during trials, ensuring seamless courtroom presentations, and managing multimedia evidence. Day-to-day tasks include setting up, testing, and operating technical equipment, collaborating with legal teams to prepare and present evidence, and troubleshooting technical issues promptly during trials. Additionally, the Trial Tech may provide support for pre-trial and post-trial tasks related to case evidence management and technology.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment, multimedia presentation software, and trial presentation software like TrialDirector or OnCue.
- Strong technical skills in managing and working with digital evidence, data files, video editing software, and document management tools for legal cases.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities to handle high-pressure situations during trials.
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with legal teams and providing technical guidance.
- Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, as trial schedules demand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience supporting trials or working in the legal field is highly desirable.
