The Department of Information Technology is excited to announce the recruitment to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for a Network Analyst II.
We Are Looking For Someone Who

What You Will Typically Be Responsible For
- Designing, implementing, and documenting/diagramming network architecture
- Developing plan designs for new networks or enhancing existing ones
- Maintaining computer networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs) and ensuring they operate efficiently and securely
- Diagnosing and fixing problems such as connectivity issues and performance bottlenecks, to maintain network uptime and performance
- Planning and executing upgrades to existing network infrastructure, code updates, and hardware replacements to keep the network current
- Managing firewall rules, access control entries, and performing security-related requests

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, computer information systems, data base administration, telecommunications management or a closely related field.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or its equivalent experience in designing, installing and helping to maintain complex LANs or WANs network acceleration technologies using TCP/IP, UDP and other standard networking protocols using physical layers, bridges, switches, firewall, gateways and routers.
Substitution For Education
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of four years.
- Possession of professional technical certifications can substitute for up to a maximum of two (2) years of the required education. Each of the following current and valid certifications can be substituted for six (6) months of required education:
- CompTIA Net+
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- MCITP - Enterprise Administrator/Server Administrator
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
- CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional)
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
- CCA (Cisco Certified Architect)
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
- JNCIP/E-ENT (Juniper Network Certified Professional/Expert Enterprise Routing and Switching)
- CCA-N (Citrix Certified Associate – Networking)
- CCP-N (Citrix Certified Professional – Networking)
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of network management applications & tools (Cisco Catalyst Center, Palo Alto Panorama, Solarwinds)
- 10+ years of network experience, with 2 years of specialized experience in infrastructure design and mapping
- SD-WAN Technology experience to include multi-vendor, multiprotocol environments
- Advanced knowledge and experience in hardware/software/network concepts, tools, and support best practices
- Advanced configuration firewalls (Palo Alto), switches (Cisco), routers (Cisco), wireless access points, and VPNs
- Current CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE AWS certifications are a plus
- Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in cloud technologies & services, network & data center technologies
Selection Process
- Application Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.
- Multiple Choice Exam: Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an online test. The assessment will measure candidates' competencies that may include, but are not limited to: critical thinking, delivering results, professional and technical expertise, attention to detail, and customer focus. Candidates must receive a score of at least 70%, which may be adjusted, to be ranked on the employment list. (Weighted 100%)
Tentative Dates
The Network Analyst II Multiple Choice exam is tentatively scheduled to take place via computer (remotely): February 25 - March 01, 2026
If you apply for another recruitment that uses this exam and the test is scheduled within six (6) months of the date you took the test this time, you will not have the option to re-take the exam. If more than six (6) months have passed, you will need to retake the exam.
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an invitation to participate in the selection process.
The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.

CONVICTION HISTORY
