What You’ll Do
Lead the strategic and operational planning for the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, IT support, and infrastructure systems across the enterprise.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department and act as a strategic business member of the executive leadership team
- Oversee project management for acquisitions requiring system and data migration and integration, phasing out and upgrading systems as necessary
- Partner with executive leadership to implement additions, deletions, and major modifications to the supporting technology infrastructure
- Develop business case justifications, performance metrics, risk analyses, and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive computer-based information systems to ensure users' needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements
- Maintain software development roadmap
- Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures
- Ensure best-in-class delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance
- Oversee the development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the company's long-term goals
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, and capacity planning related to IT assets and projects
- Build and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for maintaining a cost-effective, secure, and stable computing environment, maximizing customer service, system availability, and performance
- Direct and manage all IT plans, schedules, policies, and programs
- Develop procedures for managing IT troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Ensure reliability, viability, and maintenance of all information technology assets enterprise-wide
- Remain abreast of technological advances in the field and identify areas of use in the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to develop strategic business systems plans and translate business issues into technical solutions
- Ability to understand and leverage existing company systems to provide solutions to the business and recommend new systems when required
- Proven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operational initiatives with a results-oriented approach
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools and demonstrated ability to apply BI tools to solve business problems
- Technical knowledge of hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, network administration, and outsourced systems
- Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills
