We are seeking a senior independent contractor to support a large-scale payments risk and controls transformation within a complex financial services environment. This role will partner with Operations, Technology, Risk, and multiple Lines of Business to execute strategic payment control initiatives covering movement of funds (incoming, outgoing, and internal).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of enterprise payment risk and control solutions from strategy through implementation
- Coordinate across Operations, Technology, Risk, and Lines of Defense to manage dependencies, risks, and delivery
- Drive standardization and best practices across payment control frameworks
- Provide transparent status reporting and issue escalation to senior stakeholders
- Ensure solutions are safe, automated, client-centered, and scalable
Required Experience
- 10+ years in payments, operations, risk, or large-scale transformation programs
- Strong payments domain expertise (flows, controls, STP, real-time / same-day processing)
- Hands-on program management, business analysis, and data analysis experience
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives in a highly matrixed environment
