Senior Systems Administrator (Enterprise Infrastructure)
**CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN PHILADELPHIA OR WITHIN A 5 MINUTE RADIUS**
We are working with a rapidly growing, well-established technology company who is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a growing IT team. This role will serve as a hands-on technical expert supporting core Windows-based infrastructure while helping establish best practices, standards, and long-term stability across the environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID) environments
- Group Policy design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Identity, access, and directory services management
- Lead Windows Server administration, including:
- New server build-outs
- Upgrades and lifecycle management
- Establishing best practices and operational guidelines
- Manage and support VMware infrastructure
- vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machine performance
- Oversee backup and recovery operations
- Veeam configuration, monitoring, and testing
- Support and maintain storage and SAN environments
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root-cause analysis
- Document systems, configurations, and procedures to support operational consistency
- Collaborate with internal teams to support enterprise applications and infrastructure needs
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong experience with Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID)
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with VMware (vCenter, ESXi)
- Experience supporting backup solutions (Veeam preferred)
- Working knowledge of storage and SAN technologies
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Azure infrastructure experience
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Intune and/or SCCM exposure
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments
