Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
-Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux and Windows environments
-Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including pod deployment and cluster management
-Familiarity with storage solutions such as CephFS
-Experience with OKD or OpenShift for Kubernetes
-Proficiency in Red Hat and AlmaLinux OS
-Solid understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware, XenServer)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with CI/CD pipelines
-Familiarity with network-based deployments (e.g., PXE boot)
-Ability to help automate system configuration and deployment processes
Job Description
An Aerospace company in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a Systems Admin to join the test and engineering team. This individual will manage and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows-based systems, as well as handling containerization tasks using Docker and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will support our team by taking on L1 and L2 work. Deliverables include:
-Imaging and managing Linux and Windows systems
-Account creation, setup, and management (e.g., Active Directory, Smart Test Cell accounts)
-Break/fix support and system imaging
-Troubleshoot and support Kubernetes clusters, including pod deployment
-Serve as the first point of contact for Kubernetes-related requests; escalate as needed
-Assist in bridging gaps in system administration and container orchestration
-Support deployment efforts and testing alongside lead architect
