NORTH TEXAS TOLLWAY AUTHORITY
Summary
The purpose of this position is to ensure stability and integrity of voice, data, video, and wireless network services for the organization as well as install new hardware and applications, update existing systems, and continually monitor network performance. Their role ensures a smooth and secure network operation within NTTA.
Starting Rate: $73,389/annually - $96,564/annually - $125,553/annually
Retention Bonus: $1,500
Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately. This position is not available for H1-B visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Deploys company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
- Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Conducts new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Monitors network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Conducts network asset management.
- Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
- Monitors and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associate’s degree
- 1-3 years of experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures.
- Proven skills in network configurations, operations, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
Preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Knowledge of with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards,
