Join our Digital Modernization sector at the forefront of next-generation technology, and lead transformation efforts for the United States Coast Guard, supporting migrations and modernization of mission-critical capabilities to the Coast Guard’s Mission Cloud. We are seeking a dynamic Software Tester/Developer Engineer to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and debug software programs, ensuring our nation remains secure.
The Role
• Spearhead infrastructure automation and maintenance in a cloud environment through iteration/functionality testing within Agile initiatives.
• Implement robust DevOps practices, ensuring repeatability and continuous improvement of test cases/scripts through Configuration Management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Scrum Masters, Cloud Engineers, and DevSecOps to formulate innovative test approaches, prioritizing automation for recurring/regression test cases.
• Develop comprehensive end-to-end functionality test case narratives using JIRA/Confluence and contribute to performance testing/evaluation activities.
What You'll Need
• A BS with 4+ years, or MS with 2+ years of relevant experience; additional experience can substitute for a degree.
• 3-5 years of testing experience, with at least 2 years in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong proficiency in scripting/programming: Bash, Python, and at least one build system (Maven/Gradle/npm), coupled with Docker image build expertise.
• Proven experience implementing pipelines in Harness or other modern CI/CD platforms (CI + CD), comfortable with visual and YAML pipeline editors.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Ansible, including writing, reviewing, and testing infrastructure code.
