The IT Analyst I supports the maintenance and protection of information systems to safeguard data from unauthorized access. This role assists in identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations and applies standard technical practices to support system integrity and compliance. The position works under general supervision and applies foundational technical knowledge to accomplish assigned objectives.

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining systems designed to protect data from unauthorized access or misuse.
- Identify, report, and support resolution of security violations or system vulnerabilities.
- Apply standard IT security concepts, practices, and procedures in daily operations.
- Monitor systems for compliance with established security policies.
- Support documentation of security incidents and remediation activities.
- Assist in implementation of security controls and system updates.
- Participate in routine system testing and validation efforts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to address identified risks or weaknesses.
- Maintain records related to system security and performance.
Qualifications
- Approximately two (2) to four (4) years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, or information security.
- Working knowledge of system security principles and data protection concepts.
- Ability to identify and report security incidents or compliance concerns.
- Familiarity with standard IT operational procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required;
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
