Chief Technology Officer (CTO) — Marti Health
Atlanta Metro | On-site (Hybrid considered for exceptional candidate)
About Marti Health
Marti Health improves care coordination and patient engagement for individuals with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and other socially disadvantaged populations. With more than 100,000 SCD warriors in the U.S., we are addressing persistent inequities in access to care and resources by building technology that measurably improves healthcare delivery and outcomes for underserved communities.
The Role
Marti Health is seeking a full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and innovation. The CTO will own the technical vision, guide product development, and ensure our platform is secure, scalable, and built for real-world healthcare operations—including managed care and value-based models.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute Marti’s technical strategy, architecture, and engineering execution
- Lead product development: roadmap, delivery, quality, and iteration cadence
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team
- Translate value-based care requirements into workflows, analytics, reporting, and automation
- Establish strong practices for security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and auditability
- Drive pragmatic adoption of modern tools (cloud/data/AI where appropriate) to improve outcomes
Must-Have Domain Experience (Non-Negotiable)
We’re specifically looking for a technical leader with hands-on experience operationalizing value-based contracting, including:
- Shared savings/shared risk, bundles, capitation (or similar risk arrangements)
- Contract configuration / “contract truth” systems (rules, versioning, audit trails)
- Claims + clinical data integration, reconciliation, and performance reporting
- Quality measure calculation, attribution, and outcomes tracking in production
Nice to have: prior payer employment (MCO/MA plan/PBM/risk-bearing provider org), but deep value-based contracting systems experience is required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strength in software architecture, cloud computing, and scalable infrastructure
- Experience leading teams and delivering through agile software development
- Strong command of product lifecycle management and roadmap ownership
- Knowledge of HIPAA and secure handling of sensitive healthcare data
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Passion for health equity and building solutions for underserved communities
