Job Overview
This role provides hands-on technical management and leadership for enterprise DevOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery tooling, with responsibility for ensuring reliable, automated, and secure software delivery in cloud and hybrid environments. The DevOps Technology Manager collaborates with architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders while remaining actively involved in pipeline design, automation, cloud migration, tooling governance, and AI/ML-enabled DevOps enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership for enterprise DevOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and release engineering practices across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Define, implement, and govern standardized CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple application stacks, cloud platforms, and automated testing.
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, including automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, deployment automation, and rollback strategies in cloud environments.
- Ensure pipeline reliability, scalability, performance, and security, meeting enterprise compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives, including migrating applications, services, and CI/CD pipelines to AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid cloud platforms.
- Own and manage Jira and Confluence platforms, including workflows, permissions, dashboards, reporting, knowledge management, and Agile delivery support.
- Collaborate with PMO, Product, and Engineering leaders to ensure Jira supports Agile planning, execution, and delivery visibility.
- Manage software repositories and artifact management using software such as GitHub, JFrog, and Maven.
- Implement quality and security scanning in pipelines using software such as SonarQube, Coverity, and Black Duck.
- Use performance and load testing tools like JMeter to validate pipeline deployments and application performance.
- Evaluate and implement AI/ML-enabled DevOps automation tools, predictive analytics for pipeline performance, anomaly detection, and release risk mitigation.
- Apply AI/ML capabilities to optimize build, test, and deployment processes, including predictive scaling, intelligent alerting, and anomaly detection in delivery workflows.
- Ensure DevOps practices align with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and Financial Services regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, pipeline diagrams, and knowledge artifacts in Confluence.
- Review pipeline configurations, enforce engineering and automation standards, and mentor engineers on best practices.
- Collaborate with architects and senior developers to design and implement DevOps solutions that support cloud-native applications, microservices, and API-driven systems.
- Join review boards for architecture, security, and governance to present platform designs, risks, and recommendations.
- Provide technical escalation support for pipeline, release, and DevOps tooling issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce deployment failures, lead time, and operational risk.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, and AI/ML-enabled automation technologies, applying innovative solutions to enhance delivery efficiency and platform capabilities.
Qualifikationen
Qualifications
- 12+ years of overall IT experience, including application delivery, infrastructure, or platform management.
- 8+ years in technical leadership or management roles with responsibility for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or delivery platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, pipeline automation, and cloud deployment pipelines.
- Proven experience in cloud migration projects, moving applications, pipelines, and services to AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence administration and governance at scale.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud-native deployment patterns, containers, and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience managing artifact repositories and package management with JFrog and Maven.
- Knowledge of quality and security scanning tools: SonarQube, Coverity, Black Duck.
- Working knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as JMeter.
- Working knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (such as Terraform, CloudFormation) and observability tools.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory controls in Financial Services and DevOps pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead through technical credibility, influence, and hands-on execution.
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration in DevOps for process optimization, predictive analytics, and automation.
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM and hybrid delivery environments.
