Role Overview
The Manager of IT & DevOps is a leadership role responsible for the overall technology infrastructure, DevOps strategy, cloud architecture and security posture of the organization. This role encompasses decision making with the management for technology and infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the enterprise IT and DevOps strategy, aligned with company growth, risk tolerance, and operational needs
- Establish short and long-term technology roadmaps, including cloud migration, system modernization, and automation initiatives
- Architect, manage, and optimize cloud and on-prem infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments)
- Oversee DevOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, deployment automation, and system reliability
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning across all systems
- Own the organization’s cybersecurity posture, including access controls, monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Ensure compliance with applicable frameworks and regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI, insurance/regulatory environments where applicable)
- Lead incident response planning and serve as executive owner during security or infrastructure events
- Lead, and manage IT, DevOps, and infrastructure team (internal) for enhancing technology support for all business units
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering
- 5+ years in manager/leadership roles
- Experience in Insurance is a plus
- Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-grade infrastructure at scale
- Deep expertise in:
-Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
-DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
-Networking, systems architecture, and security best practices
- Strong understanding of risk management, and cybersecurity
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex technical situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated industries (insurance, financial services, healthcare, fintech, SaaS)
- Prior responsibility for SOC 2 or similar audits
- Experience leading infrastructure for multi-entity or multi-unit organizations
