Job Title: Data Center Network Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, service-oriented
Data Center Network Associate to support daily operations at our Chicago (ORD) data center. This role provides hands-and-eyes support within the data center environment, administers DCIM tooling (DCTrack), and supports CDK Networking, Server, and customer equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Center Operations & Ticket Management
- Manage and prioritize requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
- Accept, close, and re-direct service tickets as required
- Identify priority issues and escalate to appropriate teams or individuals
- Coordinate activities with internal teams and external data center vendors
DCIM Administration (DCTrack)
- Learn and utilize DCTrack for accurate data center asset and capacity management
- Record and maintain:
- Power usage and power management data
- Equipment serial numbers and physical locations
- Cabinet and rack information
Networking & Data Center Infrastructure
- Deploy cabinets, including cabinet installation, equipment placement, and power connections
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain copper and fiber optic cabling
- Provide configuration assistance under the guidance of Network Engineering Leads
Server & Infrastructure Support
- Deploy server, storage, and related infrastructure equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues
- Perform initial configuration of servers and storage systems (e.g., iDRAC, management ports)
Knowledge & Service Excellence
- Continuously build knowledge of CDK products and services
- Provide accurate, timely, and customer-focused support within the data center
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with wiring and cable management in a data center environment
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends and holidays
