The MLB Sponsorship group is looking for an entry level professional to join our fast paced, energetic team. This individual will work among the team responsible for managing our day to day partnerships and activations across the MLB properties.
Responsibilities
Assist in the day to day management of MLB Corporate Partners by performing the following:
- Assist with the execution of Sponsored program (Promotional, Content, Brand Engagement, Tech Integrations, CSR, B2B, Customer Incentive) development and coordination across the MLB platforms – On Site, Digital, Social, Linear.
- Assist in the coordination of on-site activations, special events, hospitality, speaking engagements, community events, product integrations, content and commercial shoots, collaborations with third parties throughout the regular season, MLB Jewel Events and other special events (Field of Dreams, Draft Combine, Little League Classic, etc).
- Assist in the onboarding of new partners including coordinating press release and partnership announcements, setting-up access to MLB approval system and style guide, introductions to key internal MLB departments.
- Organize, attend and coordinate various client and agency-facing meetings on a weekly basis with the purpose of building and maintaining relationships as well as planning season-long programming and events.
- Maintain ongoing contractual obligations and status lists both internally and externally to help collective teams remain organized and accountable.
- Monitoring of all corporate partner sponsored programs and implementing optimizations when needed.
- Work closely with the Global Partnership and Media Sales teams on overall account management, continuous relationship building, managing contractual delivery and prep for renewal discussions.
- Work closely with Partnership Marketing on campaign development, content capture, program execution and distribution across MLB platforms.
- Work closely with relevant internal departments on League wide initiatives to provide resources and partner support such as Marketing events/ platforms (All-Star Balloting, Jewel Event Activations) Gaming initiatives (Pick Em, Beat the Streak) and Community programs (Roberto Clemente Award and Jackie Robinson Day).
- Attend various internal and external meetings on a weekly basis – virtual and in person. Select travel to partner events, meetings and content shoots.
- Review Insight submissions (MLB approval system), which include all creative assets from Corporate Partners that include MLB IP, and route to any necessary groups for approval/feedback.
Qualifications And Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in client management and / or sports marketing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities across multiple accounts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to learn and operate internal systems used for Partner management
Salary Range: $67,000 - $70,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
